#TrendyTuesday: I am choosing to ignore this crazy weather here in Kentucky and focus on all things SPRING! I can’t help but thrift a sweet handbag whenever I see one. I often hear that shoppers are afraid to purchase multiple purses and bags because they don’t know if they’d really use them. To encourage you to follow your thrifting instincts, here is just how to match items together to maximize your style:
First up is this striped Nine West purse I paired with a GAP sweater. When I saw the bag at the Stonewall location (Lexington), I fell in LOVE, but hesitated. I asked myself, “What would I wear with it?” One of my favorite fashion influencers recently said that mixing and matching patterns and prints is so trendy, as long as the items are in the same color palette and not the exact same print. I had previously purchased this top at the Georgetown location, so I knew this pair was perfect for one another. And to think I paid less than $9!
I call this look “cheap boutique.” (HA!) Both the purse and top are boutique-branded items, but I paid just fraction of their retail price. I love everything Kentucky-themed, and to get a bow into the look…sign me up! This outfit would be so fun for a warm spring day (if we ever get one here in Kentucky). Both items totaled less than $8 and are from the Ring Road location (Elizabethtown).
Each item was in perfect condition, which is reassurance that they will be put to good use this spring and summer. If you fall in love with a sweet handbag, snatch it before someone else does. You’ll know Goodwill gold when you see it!
