#TrendyTuesday: Pastels and polka dots endorsed by TODAY
I love when the TODAY Show blesses my morning with inspo from style expert, Melissa Garcia!
We all love pastels and polka-dots, which are HOT this spring. But, I’m not willing to pay my savings on one outfit. To prove that YOU can thrift this season’s fashion without breaking the bank, I’ve styled pastels and polka-dots purchased from my local Goodwill!
Let’s start with the pattern.
Polka-dots just may be my favorite print! This $3.99 Talbots button-up is a cotton and linen mixed blend, perfect for warmer temps. I purchased this top from the Scottsville Road location (Bowling Green). I am confident you can find a dotted top at your local store!
What to wear on the bottom? I believe neutrals need a pop of color! I tucked my top into this Forever 21 ruby-red button-up skirt! High waisted bottoms are so popular and make a look effortless.
At this stage of styling, I always feel like the look needs a little something extra. This is the Sanctuary utility vest from the St. Matthews location (Louisville) I blogged back in the winter. It’s made for all seasons and added just what this look needed for just $6.29!
I topped of this look with my new favorite bag! (Y’all already know I’m obsessed!) I purchased this Michael Kors tote for just $11.99 from the Stonewall location (Lexington).
Now for the colors.

I paired my fun and flirty dress with my classic H&M jean jacket and Anne Klein sling back heels. The denim is from the Hartland location (Lexington) for just $6.29 while my pumps are from the Northfield location (Louisville) for just $3.99.
You already know that this Michael Kors tote is too good! Obviously, it’s versatile and perfect for spring. Check the specialty rack at your local Goodwill for designer items.
