#ThriftyThursday: NYE party decor DIY

#ThriftyThursday: New Year’s Eve is a night for hospitality, high fashion, and all the BLING! As always, I never want the hostess to spend the “mostess!” This is a simple way to turn Goodwill’s glassware into a beautiful centerpiece. You’ll have your guests leave in awe!
Items you’ll need:
A punch bowl or a large piece of glassware
Ornaments (Steer away from green and red)
Beads (Look in the accessories/jewelry section of your local Goodwill)

I purchased the most important item, the punch bowl, for just $2.99 at the new Taylorsville Road location (Louisville)! My bowl had coordinating cups for 59 cents each. Feel free to add any additional glass pieces to your large item if you have table space.
After your glass is positioned, string Christmas lights around the inside and outside. There is not method to how to do this simply because it depends on the length of the strand and the size of the glassware. I do suggest that you don’t worry about creating a perfect pattern – just be casual!
Once lights are added, place the ornaments inside the bowl! This will create an illusion of depth and it’s obviously pretty! Necklaces and bracelets from the accessories/jewelry section at Goodwill are great for adding additional bling and style.
I love this simple NYE DIY because it keeps things festive, yet affordable! Swap out the color of your inner décor and remove the Christmas lights for other times of the year. Or use the punch bowl for a chilled drink!
Best,
A
