#ThriftyThursday: Classy is the original black

December 14, 2017

#ThriftyThursday: Black and white is my favorite match-up. There is just something about the effortless, sleek look the contrast brings to any style! I paired this business-inspired outfit together because of its timeless flare.

When I spotted this Elle blouse at the Georgetown location, I knew it was a winner for just $3.99. It’s forward-point collar and shirt-tail hem are truly unique. The shadowed dots and royal blue accents on the collar, cuffs, and hem give it so much personality! I love its cotton blend paired with the chiffon; it accentuates the polar color combination.  If only I have a ballerina-bun and brown hair, I’d feel like Audrey Hepburn!

Nothing says classic like a black Jack coat. I purchased this button-up winter staple at the Taylorsville location (Louisville) for just $6.29, rather than its original $100 price tag at a high-end department store. It’s has a perfect cotton-based texture with pockets and a button-up front. Every lady needs a nice coat to rely on to keep them warm and stylish!

I wore this outfit for a day filled with brunch plans and meetings. A pair of black pants, my Talbots wool tote (featured last #ThriftyThursday), and booties topped it off!
