#ThriftyThursday: I am in the driver’s seat, on my way with the chenille sweater trend! There is nothing quite wearing a blanket ALL DAY LONG. (Chenille is serious the best!) But, of course I refuse to pay department stores’ $50 price tag. To soothe my chenille fix, I purchased this uber-soft top and name-brand outfit at Goodwill for less than $18!
Because it’s officially sweater season, I have been snuggling up in this Cable and Gauge mock neck chenille short-sleeve sweater! The woven color-scheme is perfect for fall and winter months. It’s waist-length hem makes it an ideal layering piece, preferably with black undertones. I purchased the sweater for $4.29 at the Millpond location (Lexington) and this great condition cotton Old Navy turtleneck for just $3.99 at the Hikes Point location (Louisville). Look for texture when you’re shopping at your local Goodwill; you’ll find something snuggle-worthy, I’m sure!
I’m a fan of light denim year-round. (Even if that means breaking some kind of “girl code” or long-standing fashion law.) These Old Navy “Rockstar” skinnies are so trendy because of their raw hem. The jeans were designed this way, but exercise your DIY skills by grabbing a pair of scissors! I purchased this pair for just $5.29 at the Richmond location.
I pulled together this cozy, yet stylish look with my trusty Ann Taylor flats. These quilted maroon shoes match EVERYTHING and were just $3.99 at the Murray location. Find yourself a go-to shoe for the fall and winter seasons!
With snuggle-styled sweaters, bold colors, and unique hem-lines in the backseat, don’t be afraid to sit in the passenger seat and try something fashion-forward!
