Thankful for Goodwill, "The Good Life," and fashion

The leaves are falling, and the temperatures have finally dropped! That means it’s time for football, turkey, and pie. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s time to find the perfect outfit for a day with family and friends. I purchased this entire look for just $12!

This sweet over-the-shoulder Black House White Market jersey top is from the Mapleleaf location (Lexington) for just $3.99. A classic front tuck has become popular for mixing and matching basic pieces. Since button-up skirts have made their way back into the fashion scene, I purchased this $3.99 Jolt corduroy base at the Brannon Crossing location (Nicholasville) with original tags attached! It’s olive hue and brass buttons are ideal for fall months. I finished the look with a pair of black faux-leather APT9 booties for just $3.99 at the Tradewinds location (Somerset).

Whether you are celebrating Thanksgiving with family or Friendsgiving with neighbors, it’s a perfect time to revamp your wardrobe with Goodwill! I suggest focusing on a statement piece, a patterned design, a cold-shoulder sleeve, or a fun material. You can find your Thanksgiving outfit at your local Goodwill!

our history

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Louisville since 1923. Goodwill gives people up—not a handout—so they can experience the dignity and independence that comes from earning a paycheck.

our mission

We help people with disabilities or other disadvantages achieve and maintain employment to gain a better quality of life.

what we do

Goodwill collects and sells donated items to fund programs for Kentuckians who have disabilities or other challenges in finding and maintaining traditional employment. On-the-job training, job preparation skills, and employment counseling are just a few of Goodwill's services that benefit thousands of adults each year and strengthen families in Kentucky's communities.
