#ThriftyThursday: Baking season with the best Goodwill find

November 9, 2017

#ThriftyThursday: Pumpkin bread is the BEST during the holidays. With a kitchen remodel, I snagged these lifted ceramic containers that hold staple ingredients just in time for baking season!

For my kitchen, I wanted to condense a variety of flour and sugar bags into the set of coordinating jars. My #ThriftyThursday features Godinger & Co., a kitchenware brand sold at respected department stores. I purchased the smaller container for just $5.99 and the larger for $6.99 from the Radcliff location! (These beauties have a steep original price tag.)

I tried them out and I must say, I LOVE them! While baking the pictured pumpkin bread, the clean-up process was cut in half.

Keep in mind that whether you are organizing the kitchen or bathroom, storage is key! This same #ThriftyThursday is feasible with any set of matching glassware, plastic drawers, or tin containers. I personally love a classic Mason jar; it has so many uses. (Just like holding flour and sugar!) Your local Goodwill has a selection of home goods that will help you organize your home.

Best,

A

what we do

Goodwill collects and sells donated items to fund programs for Kentuckians who have disabilities or other challenges in finding and maintaining traditional employment.
