#ThriftyThursday: Fall 4 piece we ALL need

October 26, 2017

#ThriftyThursday: Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE fall. But knowing what to wear and when to wear it can be a challenge! To help you out, your girl has put together THE fall outfit, perfect for pumpkin-picking or any other fall activity. It’s super easy! It calls for four easy pieces you can shop for at your local Goodwill.

First up, you’ve got to pick a flannel! I love flannel weather because the button up style is so versatile. Wear it as a base, layer it, tie it…the options are endless. In this picture, I gave it a front tuck! This GAP Kids flannel is super comfortable and was just $2.29, compared to its original $40 tag. I purchased it from the Stonewall location (Lexington). The best part about this top though is the color scheme: navy, yellow, pale pink, military green…it has my fall favorites!

Military green is SO popular, and these jeans fit right on in! One of my main fall essentials is a pair of colored pants. Breaking away from the everyday light and dark blue jean wash, these calf zip-up jeans are from Zara. They are high quality and so stylish! I paid just $5.29 at the Northfield location (Louisville).

You need pockets to carry all the mini gourds and apples, am I right?! This Lands’ End vest ties this look together! It’s a basic cotton and is a relaxed fit. I love its chocolate brown hue. While my flannel doesn’t have brown in it, it still works! I challenge you to not worry about being matchy-match, just coordinate. You’ll get a lot more wear out of your favorite thrifted finds. This vest was just $3.99 from the Harrodsburg location.

Ladies and gentlemen, here she is! The final and the BEST step of piecing your outfit together: comfortable riding boots! I purchased this pair of Michael Kors boots for just $9.99 at the Campbell Lane location (Bowling Green). (This is real, guys!!!) These beauties retail for nearly $200 at department stores!

And that’s it! This entire look for less than $20. Four steps to make your wardrobe easy and practical. Shop your local Goodwill for your four basic pieces you need this fall!

Best,
A
