Affordable "Southern Living" design: all things gingham and burlap

“Southern Living” is the bible for a stylish southern living space. This magazine inspired look was made possible thanks to the Bellerive location (Nicholasville)! I love all things buffalo check and gingham, so I couldn’t help snag this lamp pair for just $3.99 each!

I felt that my apartment’s living room needed decor to fill the emptiness, but was indecisive of the color choice and overall theme. After arranging the “Be Yourself” wall art, blue and yellow became the main colors of the room. I have to say, these royal blue gingham lampshades are exactly the extra touch the room needed!

Seriously, these lamps are so precious. (When I was checking out at Goodwill, people were even commenting on how adorable they were.) While the white glass stand and silver rings highlight the bright light, the braided burlap rope makes for a sweet, southern trim. They even came with bulbs that WORKED. (Talk about thrifty!) Instead of paying near $100 for a set, my “Southern Living” lamp pair cost only $7.98!

Hurry on over to your local Goodwill to find your next magazine inspired find!

We help people with disabilities or other disadvantages achieve and maintain employment to gain a better quality of life.

what we do

Goodwill collects and sells donated items to fund programs for Kentuckians who have disabilities or other challenges in finding and maintaining traditional employment.
