#ThriftyThursday: The dress for all the summer fun

#ThriftyThrusday: Summer days that are filled with travel and events are finally here! After all, looking good is a part of the excitement. I have always found my cotton “go to” dress at Goodwill!

I purchased this printed Lovely Day strapless dress at the Mapleleaf location (Lexington) for just $5.29. Its elasticity keeps it secure, and its fabric makes it perfect for 90-degree weather! I love the unique pattern, ruffle, and drop beading. This dress functions as a date-night outfit or a swim cover-up! When shopping for a summer dress, consider the places it may be worn.

I paired the dress with a bracelet from the Fern Creek location (Louisville) for $1.79 and a Relic purse for $3.99 from the Southgate location (Louisville). I LOVE the purse’s lattice work and deep pockets. The crossbody option makes it perfect for summer travel!

I look forward to attending local festivals and concerts every summer. Many memories will be made while wearing this #ThriftyThursday!

our history

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Louisville since 1923. Goodwill gives people up—not a handout—so they can experience the dignity and independence that comes from earning a paycheck.

our mission

We help people with disabilities or other disadvantages achieve and maintain employment to gain a better quality of life.

what we do

Goodwill collects and sells donated items to fund programs for Kentuckians who have disabilities or other challenges in finding and maintaining traditional employment. On-the-job training, job preparation skills, and employment counseling are just a few of Goodwill's services that benefit thousands of adults each year and strengthen families in Kentucky's communities.
