#ThriftyThursday: A southern home styles wicker and wrought iron

February 23, 2017

#ThriftyThursday: Growing up, I learned a southern home decorates with wicker and wrought iron. My personal style loves the classic look, when thrifted from Goodwill of course! I snagged this wicker and wrought iron fern stand at the Radcliff location for just $7.99.

I imagine this #ThriftyThursday on a front porch during spring, displaying a fern or other outdoor plants. While I wait for warmer weather, it looks great as an accent in a hallway or formal living room.

I find that the edge’s detailing is what makes this piece unique. The iron and beading is embellished around all four sides. I also love its basket-like weave and heart imprints. The wicker top is in great condition! Showing no signs of wear, I consider this stand great for indoor and outdoor decoration.

At normal retail, one would easily pay over $30 for a stand of this character! Don’t miss out on thrifting your home’s southern décor.

Best,

A
