#TooCuteTuesday: The velvet dress done right

Pinterest perfect doesn’t mean spending beyond the budget. Much of my

I love crushed velvet, designer shoes, and patent clutches, but I refuse to pay retail prices. I found each piece of my DIY look at local Goodwill stores!

Crushed velvet is “in” this winter season, and the textured fabric adds an edge to any look. With a swing-skirt and a perfect fit, I found this red wine Rue21 dress at the Frankfort location for just $4.99. Similar designs retail for $69 at Urban Outfitters!

Now let’s talk accessories! When I noticed these Chinese Laundry heeled boots were in perfect condition, I had to have them! I paid $3.99 at the Tradewinds location (Somerset). To match my black snakeskin boots, I snagged my handbag at the Standford location for only $3.99. This accessory has many appearances in its future. You can’t go wrong with a vintage black clutch. Timeless!

Don’t be afraid to be creative with your wardrobe. Your wallet, closet, and local Goodwill will appreciate your innovative style.
