This 1970 Chevy C10 Stepside could be yours!

December 7, 2016

Everyone knows that Goodwill accepts donations: clothes, housewares, furniture, toys, and more. Did you know that Goodwill also accepts vehicle donations?

Through our Goodwill Cars to Work program, we match working Kentuckians with donated vehicles to help them improve their employment, build credit, and strengthen their families.

However, not every donated vehicle is suitable to be placed with a program participant. When this happens, we sell the vehicle at auction, and the proceeds support Cars to Work and its mission.

Thanks to a generous donor, our next auction will include a special vehicle: a 1970 Chevy C10 Stepside ½-ton pick-up truck.

The details:

  • Engine model (3921968) straight six cylinder motor

  • Three speed transmission with shift on the column (versus on the floor)

  • Aftermarket GT style steering wheel

  • Unit is 80-85% restored with overall condition rated as “Good” using Hagerty Classic Vehicle Valuation model

  • Runs and drives excellent

  • Smooth shifting, solid brakes

  • Engine runs and idles very quietly

  • Aftermarket alloy wheels and like-new tires with excellent tread remaining

  • Paint has glossy finish and shines bright

  • Tooled leather seats in excellent condition

  •

If you are interested in bidding on this classic truck, the next auction will be held on Saturday, December 17 in Louisville at 10:00 AM. Registration starts at 9 AM, and the gates open at 8:30 AM. Visit our auction website for more details and vehicle listings!

NOTE:  Members of the general public may attend Goodwill’s auto auction but are not encouraged to purchase vehicles unless they fully understand the risks associated with purchasing used, non-warranted vehicles. All vehicles are sold “as is” without warranty or guarantee of any kind, and Goodwill does not perform repairs or maintenance on donated vehicles.

We help people with disabilities or other disadvantages achieve and maintain employment to gain a better quality of life.

what we do

Goodwill collects and sells donated items to fund programs for Kentuckians who have disabilities or other challenges in finding and maintaining traditional employment.
