#ThriftyThursday: Good investments

October 6, 2016

#ThriftyThursday: It’s that time of year! Fall has officially arrived in Kentucky. The transition from season to season suggests an investment in fall clothing essentials. Once the leaves begin changing colors, I look forward to long-sleeves, cozy vests, and afternoons spent picking pumpkins. My fall style is comfortable and trendy with a focus on mixing and matching basic pieces.

Last Sunday, I invested quality time at the Clays Mill store in Lexington. I added a navy Ralph Lauren Polo long-sleeve, beige Banana Republic knit vest, and a macramé cream and tan vest to my pumpkin picking wardrobe.

Ralph Lauren Polo long-sleeve – I love this shirt in navy! Last week I paired this top with a denim skirt for a Friday night dinner. Shades of blue compliment each other for a perfect fall palette!

Banana Republic vest – For any article of clothing, pockets are always an added bonus. This light vest hits perfectly on my waist, pairing well with a statement necklace of my choice.

Macramé cream and tan vest – The originality of this look is what caught my eye in the store. To accentuate your style, find a thrifty fall piece that tells your story.
