#ThriftyThursday

#ThriftyThursday: I am a spontaneous Goodwill shopper. If I run across an item I feel would come in handy, I put it in my basket. This thought process granted me two of my favorite Goodwill finds: a woven clothing hamper and a giant Cracker Barrel mug.

Upon moving into my current apartment, I searched for a clothing hamper that hid the items stored inside. The hamper is in the perfect color pallet and even came with a removable linen bag. This thrifty find might possibly be the most practical purchase I have made yet. Thank you to the Northfield location in Louisville for this Goodwill gold!

“Save me from the daily grind.” I use this Cracker Barrel mug to hold odds and ends on my bed stand. I was originally motivated to purchase this ceramic piece from the New Circle store because it was a great conversational piece. Now, I use it for the sake of practicality.

Here is my number one thrifty tip: if you find a practical item that you like, talk yourself into purchasing it! You never know, it may become your next #ThriftyThursday.

Best,

A

what we do

Goodwill collects and sells donated items to fund programs for Kentuckians who have disabilities or other challenges in finding and maintaining traditional employment.
