#ThriftyThursday: Mason jars and southern belles

June 2, 2016

#ThriftyThursday: Summer weekend festivities include family functions, adventuring, back porch sitting…the list goes on and on! For a fashionista like me, planning wardrobe is done well in advance to ensure an unforgettable summer. My Memorial Day weekend was one for the books. Pictured to below, I have a patriotic outfit composed of Goodwill's finest.

High-rise shorts, the perfect cotton t-shirt, vintage sunglasses, striped shoes, and mason jar (without the orange Kool-Aid) came from an array of my favorite Goodwill stores.

The Old Navy high-rise shorts are the perfect fit with pockets and elastic waistband. They take on a new personality with my Talbots red tee and vintage sunglasses. The ensemble went from casual to sassy with a bold color and a cat-eyed frame. This look is an easy one to mimic.

Redirecting attention, the season for navy and white stripes is here! My striped shoes add dimension to my basic color pallet.

A mason jar makes any gal feel like a southern belle. This thrifty find was on the back of a Goodwill rack, and I have used it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day since!

In total, this look (mason jar included!) rang up less than $17. Whether I wear it to a family reunion or on my back porch, I call this a #ThriftyThursday.

Best,

A
