#ThriftyThursday: Packing for sand, salt, and sun

May 12, 2016

#ThriftyThursday: Sun hat? Check. Bathing suit? Check. Purse? Check. Daytona Beach, here I come!

T-minus 48 hours and I have yet to open my suitcase. With my ridiculously busy schedule, I have barely had time to think about sunkissed skin and salty hair.

My last minute efforts involve throwing in my favorite sun hat, pink swimwear, and summer basket purse – three must-have items for every beach lover. I scored these beachy finds at the Radcliff, Taylorsville Road, and Campbell Lane locations years ago.

I bought my woven hat thinking I might wear it once or twice. Now, it is the first item I grab before I walk out in the warm sand.

A bathing suit that fits perfectly is hard to come by. I bought this hot pink bikini top sporadically because I thought it matched my personality. No matter where I go, I always want to feel like myself.

Basket purses are making a comeback. I bought mine originally for Easter, but it is making an appearance down south!

My toes will be in the water and my pink bathing suit top will be in the sand. No matter where I go, Goodwill has me covered.

An memorable trip with friends to kick off my summer vacation? Check.

Best,

A
