#ThriftyThursday

#ThriftyThursday: I long for sweet tea in a mason jar and a day of front-porch sitting during this busy time of the year. Spring in Kentucky calls for a pallet of pastels and light linens as the first Saturday in May creeps upon us.

I love everything spring brings – fresh flowers, ice cream with friends, a calendar of community activities, and motivation to revamp my closet. This spring I purchased pastel pieces I could wear to dinner with friends on weekdays, or front-porch sitting in on a Sunday.

My Lands’ End button-up is a classic. With a pair of slacks, jeans, or a Banana Republic linen skirt, the shirt expresses my peppy personality. The skirt itself is light, comfortable, and adds sweet southern flare.

My grandmother always told me to dress like I had somewhere to be, even if it is only my front porch.

Best,

A

our mission

We help people with disabilities or other disadvantages achieve and maintain employment to gain a better quality of life.

what we do

Goodwill collects and sells donated items to fund programs for Kentuckians who have disabilities or other challenges in finding and maintaining traditional employment. On-the-job training, job preparation skills, and employment counseling are just a few of Goodwill's services that benefit thousands of adults each year and strengthen families in Kentucky's communities.
