#ThriftyThursday: The Bag Lady

April 14, 2016

#ThriftyThursday: Since I was four, my family has nicked-named me “The Bag Lady.” Fifteen years later, I own up to the name.

My college roommate and I made a quick trip to the Northfield location last week. The last time I came to this store, I left with a mint condition brown leather Coach purse. With that being said, the Northfield location always treats me well.

Upon our entrance, I looked through the glass case – because all Goodwill gurus know that the prized possessions lie where we cannot touch. My eyes spotted sparkly shoes and shiny jewelry…and then this beauty. (Yes, the one pictured above.)

The cashier recognized me from my last visit, so she too knew that I was not in need of another bag. But instead of walking away, I asked to see the BCBG navy tote. I held it, and touched it, and fell in love.

I have now used it every day since. And I must say, it is fabulous! Did I need the bag? Absolutely not. Was it a thrifty find? Absolutely yes!

Best,

A a.k.a. “The Bag Lady”
